Key Ventures B.V. has been active from Amsterdam since 1996. What began as energy trading has grown into four lines that reinforce one another.
From trading to trading house
Key Ventures started in energy trading in 1996. That foundation remains, but the market has changed: chains grew longer, intermediaries more numerous, and the volume of paperwork larger. Staying successful in this market is less about buying well than about judging well who is sitting across the table.
That skill has become the thread running through everything we do. In trading it determines who we work with. In our advisory practice it is the product itself: companies entering the energy market hire us to avoid the mistakes we have watched others make. And in real estate the same weighing applies, only to buildings rather than cargoes.
Amsterdam as a base
We work from Amsterdam. The Netherlands sits close to Northwest European energy flows, and Amsterdam provides the banking and legal infrastructure international trade requires. We correspond in Dutch and English.
Structure
Key Ventures is a private limited company (besloten vennootschap), registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 16089983. We trade on our own account and at our own risk. We do not manage third-party assets, offer no investment products, and are not an intermediary in financial services.

A limited range
A few product lines we know well, rather than a catalogue we can't deliver on.
Counterparty first
The question is never only whether the deal works, but whether the party behind it does. That order is fixed.
Documentation that holds up
Paperwork that survives an inspection, a bank and a possible resale. Otherwise we don't start.
No is also an answer
We decline enquiries where we cannot see the chain. That isn't caution, it's risk policy.
